UN 38.3/IEC 62133 Lithium-ion Battery Test Chamber
KOMEG lithium-ion battery test chambers included thermal cycle chamber, thermal shock chamber, industrial oven, vacuum oven, altitude test chamber and temperature humidity chamber. As a lithium-ion battery test chamber manufacturer, KOMEG has extensive experience in the field of secondary cells/batteries testing, and many customers have recognized the quality of our products. Here we mainly introduce UN 38.3 and IEC 62133, the two lithium-ion battery test standards that our customers consult most about. |

Altitude Simulation:
Stored for more than 6 hours under pressure ≤11.6kPa and ambient temperature (20±5℃).
Thermal Test:
Store at 75±2℃ for at least 6 hours (large cells/batteries need to be stored for 12 hours), and then store at -40±2℃ for the same time. The transition time between the two extreme temperatures must be within 30 minutes. Repeat the test for 10 cycles. Finally store at 20±2℃ for 24 hours.
Requirements: no mass loss, leaking, venting, disassembly, rupture or fire. And the open circuit voltage after the test is not less than 90% of that before the test (Note: The voltage requirement does not apply to cells/batteries in a fully discharged state)

Temperature Cycling (IEC 62133-1):
Step 1: Place the cells or batteries in an ambient temperature of 75±2℃ for 4 hours.
Step 2: Reduce the temperature to 20±5℃ within 30 minutes and test for 2 hours
Step 3: Reduce the temperature to -20±2℃ within 30 minutes and test for 4 hours
Step 4: Raise the temperature to 20±5℃ within 30 minutes and test for 2 hours
Step 5: Repeat steps 1 to 4 for a further four cycles. Transition from step 4 to step 1 within 30 min.
Thermal Abuse (IEC 62133-1/IEC 62133-2):
The oven temperature is raised at a rate of 5℃/min±2℃/min to a temperature of 130±2℃. The cell remains at this temperature for 30 min. Requirements:No fire, no explosion.
Low Pressure (IEC 62133-1):
Each fully charged cell is placed in a vacuum drying chamber, in an ambient temperature of 20±5℃. Once the chamber has been sealed, its internal pressure is gradually reduced to a pressure equal to or less than 11.6kPa and held for 6 hours. Requirements:No fire, no explosion, no leakage.
